SmackDown Results: Rock & Reigns back next week, Men’s Elimination Chamber set

Friday Night SmackDown included announcing a men’s Elimination Chamber match in Australia with the winner challenging Seth Rollins at WrestleMania.

In the opening segment, Triple H joined Nick Aldis and Adam Pearce in the ring with the confirmation that Roman Reigns will meet Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania. At the same time, Rollins will defend against the winner of the Chamber match on February 24.

RESULTS:
*Elimination Chamber – Qualifying Match: Drew McIntyre over AJ Styles in 11:20
*Elimination Chamber – Qualifying Match: Bianca Belair over Michin in 7:08
*#1 Contenders Match: Tyler Bate & Pete Dunne over DIY in 8:28
*Elimination Chamber – Qualifying Match: Randy Orton over Sami Zayn in 10:52

Drew McIntyre was the first one to qualify for the Elimination Chamber by defeating AJ Styles with Claymore after Styles was distracted by LA Knight, who was on commentary at ringside and got involved.

Randy Orton pinned Sami Zayn after Zayn leapfrogged off the middle rope and into an RKO allowing Orton to punch his ticket to the Elimination Chamber.

Monday’s episode of Raw will include two more qualifying matches with Bobby Lashley vs. Bronson Reed and LA Knight vs. Ivar.

On SmackDown next week, Kevin Owens faces Dominik Mysterio and Logan Paul takes on The Miz in the final qualifiers.

Bianca Belair became the second entrant in the women’s Elimination Chamber match after surviving Eat Defeat and coming back to pin Michin after hitting the KOD. Belair joins Becky Lynch in the Chamber match where the winner will earn a title shot against Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania.

Next week’s women’s qualifying matches will see Tiffany Stratton take on Shotzi and Naomi facing off with Zelina Vega.

Bayley was confronted by Dakota Kai, who tried to plead her case to Bayley and helped fend off the remaining members of Damage CTRL.

Tyler Bate & Pete Dunne defeated DIY to become the #1 contenders for the WWE tag titles after Dunne pinned Johnny Gargano after a forearm smash and hit the Bitter End.

Bate & Dunne will challenge Finn Balor & Damian Priest for the titles on February 24 in Perth, Western Australia.

It was announced that next week’s episode of SmackDown will feature appearances by The Rock and Roman Reigns coming off Thursday’s WrestleMania Kickoff event in Las Vegas.

In a non-televised segment, it was established that Cedric Alexander and Ashante “Thee” Adonis are forming a team.
