Will Ospreay isn’t sure when he’ll wrestle for NJPW again, AEW contract allows him to

Ospreay speaks after what was billed as his final New Japan match.

Closing out NJPW The New Beginning in Osaka was a Steel Cage match between BULLET CLUB War Dogs (David Finlay, Alex Coughlin, Gabe Kidd, Clark Connors & Drilla Moloney) and United Empire (Will Ospreay, Francesco Akira, TJP, HENARE & Jeff Cobb).

The match was billed as Ospreay’s final match in New Japan before he starts his full-time run in All Elite Wrestling. BULLET CLUB War Dogs came out on top but to end the show, Ospreay was able to get his sendoff alongside his United Empire faction-mates.

Post-match, Ospreay told the press that he is not sure when he’ll be back in New Japan. He added that his AEW contract allows him to do NJPW matches but he needs to find balance first. Ospreay promised that he’ll be back.

To close, he put the spotlight on United Empire’s Callum Newman, who he brought over to NJPW. He feels Newman is better than he was at his age. He said they’re a lot alike and there will be times when Newman makes mistakes, but wants him to be held responsible the same way Ospreay was held responsible for his mistakes.
