AEW adds Rocky Romero to their front office personnel.
On 2/12, Dave Meltzer noted in his Daily Update that Rocky Romero is now working in AEW’s front office. Romero still works for New Japan Pro-Wrestling behind the scenes as a liaison between their Japan management and their overseas partners.
In addition to that, Romero is leading the charge for the NJPW STRONG brand and has been doing so since the pandemic.
Romero played a role in AEW and CMLL forming a partnership as well. Romero competes for AEW, CMLL and NJPW. He is also the reigning MLW World Middleweight Champion.
In 2022, Romero helped navigate the deal between NJPW and WWE that allowed Karl Anderson to continue competing for NJPW while under contract to WWE.
