QT Marshall is reportedly back in AEW, except this time he’s in a prominent backstage job.
Fightful reported Wednesday that Marshall has re-joined the promotion as an executive. His return to the AEW comes just weeks after his initial four-year stint with them concluded.
Marshall announced his resignation from AEW in November of last year, saying that the company “heading in a different direction” made him decide to part ways. His contract officially expired at the end of 2023.
Last year ended a lengthy run of him appearing both as a wrestler for AEW and in a backstage role for the promotion. He was a part of three different factions in AEW, including his most recent TMZ parody called “QTV.”
Marshall has remained active as a wrestler outside of AEW in recent years as well. In 2023, he made more than 20 appearances outside of AEW. This included a brief title reign with the Latin American Championship in Mexico-based AAA. The new deal reportedly allows Marshall to keep wrestling, except for appearances in WWE.
The 38-year-old talent also remains busy as a co-owner of wrestling gym The Nightmare Factory.
