Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes will appear at WWE’s Elimination Chamber event next weekend but don’t expect them to actually wrestle in a match.
Rollins and Rhodes have been announced as guests for a segment of The Grayson Waller Effect, which will take place during the Perth, Australia card on February 24. Australia’s own Waller announced the talk show segment via social media on Wednesday.
“Since I’m basically the Prime Minister of Australia, I needed to give something back to the Australian people and bring the biggest story in entertainment to my house,” Waller said.
While many matches at the Elimination Chamber next week will decide pairings for Wrestlemania, Rhodes already has his plan figured out for April. He announced last week at a special WWE “Kickoff” event that he would use his Royal Rumble victory to challenge Roman Reigns.
The expectation is that Rhodes will also team with Rollins for a tag match against Reigns and The Rock, as a trailer for Wrestlemania shows the teams facing off.
Rollins’ plans for Wrestlemania aren’t as clear as Rhodes’ yet, but we will know more by the end of next week. An Elimination Chamber match in Australia will decide who will get to challenge Rollins for his WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
