Former professional wrestler Billy Jack Haynes has been charged with murder in connection to the death of his wife.

KOIN 6 News in Oregon reports that Haynes was released from hospital on Wednesday and booked at Multnomah County Detention Center for second-degree murder and unlawful use of a weapon.

On February 8, authorities responded to a call and had a two-hour standoff until Haynes came out of the couple’s home in Lents, Oregon.

The police discovered the body of 85-year-old Janette Becraft, who was the wife of Haynes.

The death has been ruled a homicide by a gunshot wound.

Haynes was hospitalized following the incident for unrelated injuries.

Haynes is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday, according to KPTV.
