McAfee gets candid.

Coming out of the 2024 WWE Royal Rumble, Pat McAfee returned to the company in a full-time commentator role to call Monday Night Raw alongside Michael Cole

McAfee spoke about his relationship with WWE while on All The Smoke with Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson. He was asked if he’ll be at WrestleMania 40 to compete and McAfee stated that he thinks he would not be able to pass a drug test in order to make that happen.

In Philly? (McAfee was asked if he’ll be at WrestleMania 40 to compete) I don’t know dude. So I got a lot of science pumping through me right now. When you retire, I said, hey, I want that rich guy stuff. What are these rich guys taking that I see on Instagram? That are all — don’t get fat. I don’t know how it works, because with my particular build, if I eat pizza four times, fat ass. Fat ass and the football season is long and every year I’ve gained 50-to-60 pounds since retiring. So, this year I’m like, I’m gonna get on the rich guy stuff that cheats and keeps me thin. Not as full as the Ozempic move but, I’m not against it. I will head to that route in a couple years if I have to. So I’m on a bunch of stuff… Not a clue (McAfee responded when asked does he know the long-term effects of what he’s doing). Am I gonna die? Who knows. Probably. They say everybody is. But is this one gonna take years off my life? Maybe. But was that gonna happen anyways? We don’t know. I’ve always said too, if I have something that’s gonna kill me that we might be able to have a cure for some day, I would like to be frozen until we find the cure. Bring my ass back 2120, two thousand, one hundred twenty years in there. Think about me getting dropped in that society. I’ll be f*cking pumped up about it. All that being said, I don’t think I could pass any drug tests for a WrestleMania, because they drug test people so that’s real deal… and I’m on everything I think they’re testing for.

McAfee was on the call for the 2/26 Raw and to hear POST Wrestling’s review of that show, head over to this link. McAfee has wrestled a total of seven matches for WWE and he most recently participated in the men’s Royal Rumble where he eliminated himself before any contact was made.

At WrestleMania 39, McAfee competed in an impromptu match and scored a win over The Miz.
