AEW World Tag Team Titles to be vacated, tournament announced to crown new champions

The titles are now vacant.

Closing out AEW Revolution was Sting’s final match and he came out on top. Sting and Darby Allin bested The Young Bucks (Matthew Jackson & Nicholas Jackson) to retain the AEW World Tag Team Championships.

At the post-Revolution press conference, AEW President Tony Khan broke the news that with Sting retiring, the titles have been vacated. He added that there will be a tournament to crown new champions.

When it comes to what’s next for Darby Allin, Khan revealed that Allin is taking on Jay White at AEW: Big Business on March 13th in Boston, Massachusetts.
