Michael Cole congratulates Sting on his retirement during WWE Raw, Pat McAfee calls AEW Revolution match ‘epic’

Sting’s retirement acknowledged by WWE. 

As WWE Monday Night Raw was underway, Michael Cole acknowledged Sting’s final match and retirement at AEW Revolution. Cole mentioned Sting’s 40-year career and called him a great champion. He said thanks for the memories. 

Pat McAfee chimed in and said Sting had an ‘epic match last night’ and immediately after he said that, Cole began speaking about Dominik Mysterio and GUNTHER’s singles match. 

Sting and Darby Allin bested The Young Bucks (Matthew Jackson & Nicholas Jackson) to retain the AEW World Tag Team Championships. Sting ended his career with an undefeated record in AEW and as a champion. 

The titles were vacated and a tournament to crown new champions was announced.
