BJ Whitmer receives five years probation, 120-day home incarceration for domestic violence case

An update on the B.J. Whitmer domestic violence case.

During the summer of 2023, B.J. Whitmer was released from All Elite Wrestling following being arrested on domestic violence charges.

Both PWInsider and reporter B.J. Bethel noted that Whitmer received five years probation and 120 days on house arrest. The victim in the case told FOX 19 that Whitmer physically assaulted her after their breakup. She shared that she entered her home and he was waiting for her at the top of the steps.

She told the outlet she was fighting for her life and he told her he was going to kill her. Whitmer was arrested for strangulation and second degree burglary which in the state of Kentucky is described as entering a place or waiting there with the intent to cause harm.

Whitmer took an Alford plea. He is maintaining his innocence but recognizes there’s enough evidence that he could face a conviction in a jury trial. The felony can be scratched from his record in five years.
