D’Angelo is headed to Stand & Deliver and Hayes is ran off by Trick.
The main event of NXT Roadblock saw Tony D’Angelo going one-on-one with Carmelo Hayes to determine who would challenge Ilja Dragunov for the NXT Championship at Stand & Deliver.
Towards the conclusion of the match, Hayes went up to the top rope to set up his ‘Nothing But Net’ finisher but was distracted by Trick Williams’ theme music. Williams has not been seen on television since Hayes ambushed him at NXT Vengeance Day.
With the distraction, D’Angelo gained the upper hand and defeated Hayes to secure his spot in the NXT Title match at Stand & Deliver.
Afterwards, D’Angelo grabbed a microphone and said making sure Williams’ music played was his doing, but added that he is a giving man and has a surprise for Hayes and out came Trick Williams. He ran Hayes off into the protection of his security guards that were ringside.
