Wednesday’s “Season Premiere” of AEW Dynamite saw the show drop to its lowest viewership of the year following the Revolution pay-per-view.
The March 6 episode from Duluth, Georgia, averaged 779,000 viewers and 355,000 (0.27) in the 18-49 demographic, according to Wrestlenomics.
The audience was down by five percent with a seven percent decline among the core demographic. It was Dynamite’s lowest viewership since October 25, 2023, and the lowest 18-49 audience since January 31.
In the 18-49 demo, males dropped by 11 percent to 241,000 viewers with female viewership increasing by four percent to 114,000.
Adults 18-34 averaged 152,000 viewers, nearly identical to the previous week.
Adults 35-54 declined by 12 percent from 165,000 to 138,000 viewers this week. Males in that category saw a 16 percent decrease.
In Canada, Dynamite averaged 127,500 viewers and 61,300 in the 25-54 demographic on TSN 2, which ranked ninth among sports programs and second in the demo behind the NHL on Wednesday. Last week’s episode averaged 119,000 and 47,300 respectively.
Wrestlenomics reports that the peak quarter for overall viewership was the opening fifteen minutes, which averaged 930,000 viewers with Swerve Strickland, Samoa Joe, and the Undisputed Kingdom. The peak in the 18-49 audience was from 9 – 9:15 p.m. ET including Kazuchika Okada’s debut and the start of Riho vs. Kris Statlander averaging 411,000 viewers.
The show included a seven-minute overrun between Will Ospreay and Kyle Fletcher for the main event.
