The taped edition of AEW Collision from Georgia this past Saturday had a small decrease against college basketball and the UFC 299 preliminary fights.
The March 8 episode – taped three nights prior – averaged 427,000 viewers and 167,000 (0.13) in the 18-49 demographic, per Wrestlenomics.
For the second week in a row, Collision was taped and experienced a six percent drop in overall viewership and a five percent decline among the core demographic.
In the 18-49 demographic, female viewership saw growth from 54,000 to 63,000 viewers with males in the category dropping from 121,000 to 104,000.
Adults 18-34 increased by 22 percent to 66,000 viewers while adults 35-49 dropped 17 percent to 101,000 viewers.
The first fifty minutes of Collision against Duke vs. North Carolina averaged 3,076,000 viewers on ESPN. The network followed the basketball game with the UFC 299 prelims, averaging 1,484,000 viewers and 748,000 among the 18-49 audience, per Sports Media Watch.
Wrestlenomics reports that the most-watched quarter occurred in the opening fifteen minutes of Bryan Danielson vs. Shane Taylor with 466,000 viewers. The peak among the 18-49 audience was from the closing quarter with 183,000 viewers for the Atlanta Street Fight.
