“With time comes maturity” — Eddie Kingston.

The Continental Crown Championship was on the line at AEW Revolution as the champion Eddie Kingston defended against Bryan Danielson. Going into the match, Kingston stated that if he won, Danielson would have to shake his hand.

Kingston ended up scoring the victory and post-match, Danielson shook his hand and also showed Kingston respect in their backstage segment. It was the second time Kingston scored a win over Bryan.

Stick to Wrestling rolled out their interview with Eddie and he was asked for the differences between Danielson of today versus 20 years ago. He said Danielson has gone through things like everyone else has and then mentioned the off-camera conversation they had.

I think a big difference for all of us, not just Bryan (Danielson) is that we’re all more mature, because we’ve gone through things. When I was in my 20s in wrestling, I’m not the same as I am now, because I had to go through stuff. Same thing with Bryan. Bryan had to go through stuff and you know, I talked to Bryan off-camera and we talked about those early years of me and he wasn’t the only one where they were like, ‘Ah man, Eddie’s doing this’ or, ‘Oh, Eddie got in trouble again,’ you know what I mean? And some people gave up, some people didn’t so, Bryan’s different because he’s more mature just like I am, just like Mox is. Me and Claudio (Castagnoli) just aren’t — we’re just two different people so me and him are never gonna get along but he’s different. So, with time comes maturity.

Kingston is scheduled to be in action at AEW Big Business. He’ll be tagging with Penta El Zero Miedo and PAC to take on The Elite (Kazuchika Okada, Matthew Jackson & Nicholas Jackson).

When Okada arrived to AEW as a contracted talent, Kingston was outnumbered by The Young Bucks. Okada stood by his side before revealing that he’s paired with Matthew and Nicholas.
