Discussions have been held but nothing is official.

The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E & Xavier Woods) launched their ‘Feel the Power’ podcast in 2019 and new episodes stopped being released in September 2021.

While guest appearing on episode #133 of WWE – Die Woche, Xavier Woods stated that while not yet official, there have been discussions about bringing the podcast back. He said Kingston, Big E and himself got extremely busy and had to put a pause on the podcast.

I miss it too, I miss it too (New Day podcast). There are some talks — we’ve been talking about possibly bringing it back. I don’t wanna get anybody’s hopes up just in case. But, life got very busy for the three of us. We got families and a lot of stuff that we do outside of WWE as well but then also just WWE life is just very busy. The schedule is extremely demanding so we had to put it on that backburner for a while, while we were focusing on some other things but there’s a chance, there’s a chance that it might come back.

Continuing with the digital media portion of the conversation, Woods revealed that one of the names considered for the UpUpDownDown YouTube channel before its current name was decided on was ‘Joy Shtick’.

U.U.D.D. was Woods’ second choice for a name. There were several people involved in the decision-making process and they felt U.U.D.D. was the best option. With hindsight, Woods is glad UpUpDownDown won the vote and he dove into the impact the channel has and will continue to have.

UpUpDownDown, hmm, let’s see. There were a lot of names on the table. It was almost named ‘Joy Shtick’. That was one that I liked the most but we had a couple of people, like three or four people who were going through the names and they decided that was the best name. That was my second choice but I’m really glad that it won out and it was the first because… it’s just got a lot of life man. It’s what? Eight years that we’ve been doing this and being able to show this side of the performers to everybody that you may not have seen prior, and one thing that I realized after years of doing it is that, yes, I wanna play video games with my buddies. Yes, I wanna have a good time and try to jump into a new lane of entertainment that WWE could definitely take the dive into. I was figuring I’d be the guinea pig. But, looking back at stuff we’ve done over the years, it’s really cool to be able to go back and watch all of us interact in the way that we genuinely interact as friends and yes, we are these larger than life personas when we are on Raw, we’re on SmackDown, we’re on the live events and the PLE’s and all that. But at the end of the day, it’s nice to be able to shed all that and just relax and enjoy life just like everybody else does so, being able to have video representation of that with people who either aren’t with us anymore or moved to different places, don’t work here anymore, it’s an archive for history and I know that in 20, 30 years if YouTube is still bumping around which I assume it will be, it’ll be really awesome to go back and see all those interactions and just how great everybody is.

Coming up on the 3/18 Monday Night Raw, Woods and Kingston are going to be facing Alpha Academy’s Akira Tozawa and Otis.

The winners of that match will secure themselves a spot in the six-pack Ladder match for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships at WrestleMania 40.
