2024 New Japan Cup results (3/16/24): SANADA def. Jack Perry to advance to semifinals

The first semifinal bout is locked in. 

Dolphins Arena in Nagoya, Japan hosted the 3/16 New Japan Cup show. There was one tournament match on the bill as David Finlay fell ill and could not compete against Hirooki Goto. As a result, Goto advanced to the semifinal round. 

The lone tournament match was SANADA versus Jack Perry and that headlined the show. Here are the full results from the event:

  • United Empire (Jeff Cobb, Great-O-Khan & Francesco Akira) def. Tomohiro Ishii, Tanga Loa & Ryusuke Taguchi
  • T.M.D.K. (Zack Sabre Jr. & Mikey Nicholls) def. United Empire (TJP & Callum Newman)
  • BULLET CLUB (KENTA, Chase Owens, Gabe Kidd & Taiji Ishimori) def. Toru Yano, Hikuleo, El Phantasmo & Jado
  • Taichi & Yuya Uemura def. YOSHI-HASHI & Shota Umino
  • Los Ingobernables de Japon (Tetsuya Naito, Shingo Takagi, Yota Tsuji, Hiromu Takahashi & BUSHI) def. HOUSE OF TORTURE (EVIL, Ren Narita, Yujiro Takahashi, Yoshinobu Kanemaru & Dick Togo)
  • New Japan Cup Quarterfinal Match: SANADA def. Jack Perry

SANADA will face Goto in the semifinals and the remaining quarterfinal bouts are EVIL versus Shingo Takagi and Ren Narita versus Yota Tsuji. The quarterfinal matches are taking place on March 17th.
