Finlay out of the tournament.

Prior to the quarterfinals of the New Japan Cup tournament beginning on 3/16, NJPW pushed out the announcement that David Finlay is not feeling well and is undergoing tests at a hospital.

As a result, Finlay is no longer competing in the New Japan Cup. He was scheduled to take on Hirooki Goto in a quarterfinal bout but due to Finlay being sidelined, Goto will advance via a bye.

The remaining quarterfinal matches are listed as follows:

  • SANADA vs. Jack Perry
  • EVIL vs. Shingo Takagi
  • Yota Tsuji vs. Ren Narita

Results from the 3/16 NJPW event is going to be posted here on POST Wrestling.
