Come April 27th, a new Mega Champion will be crowned.

Dating back to December 2021, El Hijo del Vikingo had been in possession of the AAA Mega Championship. In late February, Vikingo suffered a ruptured ligament and torn meniscus in his right knee and underwent successful surgery.

As a result, the AAA Mega Title has been vacated and a new champion is going to be crowned at Triplemanía XXXII Monterrey on April 27th. There is going to be a three-way to determine the champion.

Alberto El Patron, Cibernético and Psycho Clown competed in a three-way at AAA’s 3/16 show to determine who secures the first slot in the vacant Mega Championship match. El Patron came out victorious.

The 3/16 AAA show also saw the arrival of Parker Boudreaux. Boudreaux has not competed for AEW since early 2023 but on March 9th of 2024, the company wished him a happy birthday on their official social media accounts.

As more updates concerning the Mega Title match at Triplemanía becomes available, we’ll update you here on POST Wrestling.
