Throughout the night, qualifying matches took place to fill the remaining slots in the six-pack Ladder match for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships at WrestleMania 40. D.I.Y. (Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa) defeated The Creed Brothers (Julius & Brutus Creed), Awesome Truth (R-Truth & The Miz) bested Indus Sher (Veer & Sanga) and New Day (Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods) defeated Alpha Academy (Akira Tozawa & Otis). The winning teams are joining the champions Finn Bálor and Damian Priest in the Ladder match and there are two more slots left to be filled.
The Rock is returning to Monday Night Raw on 4/1 in Brooklyn, New York.
Via a video package, CM Punk stated that whether he’s invited or not, he’ll be at WrestleMania 40. Punk is returning to Raw on 3/25 in Rosemont, Illinois.
There was an in-ring segment with Cody Rhodes and he called The Rock’s ‘buddies’ at TKO ‘yes people’. He questioned if Rock will bring B.D.E. (Big Dwayne Energy) or L.D.S. (Little Dick Syndrome). Rhodes then credited Brian Gewirtz for giving Rock the ‘Final Boss’ nickname. Coming out to the ring was Paul Heyman who proposed to Rhodes that Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns will show up alone to their face-to-face on SmackDown on 3/22 if Rhodes agrees to do the same. Gewirtz responded to Rhodes’ remarks on X:
“Final Boss” isn’t anything I came up with. @TheRock calls himself that because he is that. If it makes you feel better @CodyRhodes, I was the first to tell him about your spectacularly stupid goofy ass dog.
There was another preview of the Windham Rotunda (Bray Wyatt) documentary that is premiering on Peacock. The new preview featured Windham’s brother, Taylor a.k.a. Bo Dallas. After the preview, cameras cut back to the arena at Raw where the crowd were holding up their ‘fireflies’ in honor of Windham.
Michael Cole confirmed that WrestleMania 40 nights one and two will start at 7 PM EST.
In attendance were Matt Hardy and Reby Hardy. Raw emanated from Raleigh, North Carolina. Reby and Matt were seated in a skybox and Reby posted a video of them.
Before the main event Last Woman Standing match between Becky Lynch and Nia Jax, Michael Cole stated that while Lynch was in Washington D.C. to visit The White House, she passed her test to become a U.S. citizen. Lynch picked up the win over Jax and it took for her to ‘Manhandle Slam’ Jax through a table and deliver a leg drop onto her from the top of a ladder through the announce desk to secure the win. Post-match, Lynch was confronted by her WrestleMania opponent, WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley.
In a backstage segment, Sami Zayn and Chad Gable went back and forth about the Intercontinental Title match between Zayn and GUNTHER at WrestleMania. Gable expressed that he thinks Zayn cannot beat GUNTHER.
Made official for the 3/25 Raw is Ricochet versus J.D. McDonagh.
