AEW Collision experienced a major drop among its 18-34 audience for Saturday’s live episode from Ottawa, Ontario.
The March 16 episode averaged 393,000 viewers and 160,000 (0.12) in the 18-49 demographic, per Wrestlenomics.
The audience dropped by eight percent while the 18-49 demographic fell by four percent from the prior week, which was a taped show. It was Collision’s lowest figures in overall viewership and the core demo since February 24.
The major hit was among adults 18-34, which dropped from 66,000 viewers to 28,000 this week for a decline of 58 percent and ranking as the lowest in the demo for Collision in its history.
In the 18-34 demo, males dropped by fifty-four percent while females fell by sixty-five percent from the prior week.
In the 18-49 demo, males were up by nine percent to 113,000 viewers with females dropping from 63,000 to 47,000 viewers.
Adults 35-49 grew by 32 percent this week with an average of 132,000 viewers due to males spiking from 61,000 to 93,000 while females were nearly identical with the previous week’s average.
In Canada, the show was scheduled to air at Midnight ET on TSN 2 but didn’t begin until 12:45 a.m. ET and averaged 21,000 viewers and 12,000 in the 25-54 demographic.
Wrestlenomics reports the peak for overall viewership was the first fifteen minutes for the start of Bryan Danielson vs. Katsuyori Shibata averaging 454,000 viewers. The peak among the 18-49 audience was 185,000 for the six-minute overrun featuring Adam Copeland’s promo, which edged out the 8:15 – 8:30 p.m. ET quarter by 3,000 viewers featuring the ending of Danielson vs. Shibata.
