Khan believes Mercedes can be the face of the company.
On the bill for the March 20th episode of AEW Dynamite is the follow-up to Mercedes Moné’s debut as she’ll be appearing live and speaking to the audience.
Ahead of the show, NBC10 Boston released their sit-down interview with Moné and AEW President Tony Khan. Khan was asked what Mercedes brings to AEW and while giving his answer, he expressed that he thinks Moné is perfect to be the face of the company.
Mercedes (Moné), one of the greatest wrestlers in the world. She’s gonna help bring in new audiences from all over the world. It’s such a great question because I think not only is she gonna come in as one of the faces of AEW, one of the top stars. But she’s also one of the best wrestlers, one of the most charismatic people, somebody who loves wrestling and I’m so glad you asked because to me, Mercedes is not only somebody who loves the wrestling business, loves getting in the ring and wrestling but loves the fans and I think that’s what we’re all about in AEW and I think that’s why Mercedes is perfect to be the face of AEW.
Mercedes opened and closed AEW Big Business. At the end of the program, she made the save for Willow Nightingale who was outnumbered by Skye Blue and TBS Champion Julia Hart.
