Matt Cardona helps Steph De Lander secure TNA Knockouts Title shot at Rebellion

De Lander versus Grace at Rebellion.

Kicking off the action on the 3/28 episode of TNA iMPACT was an 8-4-1 match for a shot at Jordynne Grace’s Knockouts World Championship.

The bout started with an eight-woman tag that saw Masha Slamovich, Havok, Jody Threat and Alisha Edwards taking on Xia Brookside, Dani Luna, Rosemary and Steph De Lander, who filled in for the injured Ash By Elegance.

Scoring the win was Brookside, Luna, Rosemary and De Lander and with that win, the four-way portion of the match began with the winning team. The conclusion of the bout saw Matt Cardona make his return to the company and he gave Rosemary a ‘Radio Silence’ and that secured De Lander the win.

De Lander and Cardona are a pair on the independent scene and travel as a duo. That has now carried over to TNA and as of this writing, here’s the updated match card for Rebellion:

  • TNA World Championship: Moose (c) vs. Nic Nemeth
  • TNA World Tag Team Championships: The System (Brian Myers & Eddie Edwards) (c) (w/ Alisha Edwards) vs. ‘Speedball’ Mike Bailey & Trent Seven
  • TNA X Division Championship: Mustafa Ali (c) vs. Jake Something
  • Full Metal Mayhem Match: Eric Young vs. Frankie Kazarian
  • TNA Knockouts World Championship: Jordynne Grace (c) vs. Steph De Lander (w/ Matt Cardona)
