Mark states that no one could have predicted or planned this.

Coming up at ROH Supercard of Honor on April 5th, the headlining match is going to be Eddie Kingston defending the ROH World Championship against Mark Briscoe.

It was 11 years ago on April 5th that the late Jamin Pugh (Jay Briscoe) defeated Kevin Owens at Supercard of Honor to win his first ROH World Title.

While speaking to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Mark touched on challenging for the belt on the 11-year anniversary of Jay’s first ROH World Title win and stated that ‘God is booking this sh*t’.

Amen. Said it to my wife and my friends about, man, ‘God’s booking this sh*t.’ It’s crazy just… how much of it is so much of a coincidence that it just don’t seem like a coincidence. Like, it’s crazy man. 11 years to the day and no one could have predicted or planned that.

Briscoe versus Kingston will cap off the following lineup:

  • ROH World Championship: Eddie Kingston (c) vs. Mark Briscoe
  • ROH Women’s World Championship: Athena (c) vs. Hikaru Shida
  • ROH World Television Championship: Kyle Fletcher (c) vs. Lee Johnson
  • ROH Women’s World Television Championship Tournament Final: Queen Aminata vs. Billie Starkz
