Danielson is proud of what Rhodes is doing in WWE.

Headlining night two of WrestleMania for the second consecutive year will be Cody Rhodes challenging Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.

At WrestleMania 39, with assistance from The Bloodline, Reigns defeated Rhodes to retain his title. As the rematch inches closer, Bryan Danielson was asked about Rhodes’ success in WWE as he was speaking to Sports Illustrated

He recalls texting Rhodes in 2023 and expressing how proud he was of him. Danielson added that he was ‘so mad’ when Rhodes lost at WrestleMania. He shared that Rhodes sent him a message to tell him how much he loved the 60-minute Iron Man match between himself and MJF for the AEW World Title at Revolution

I texted Cody (Rhodes) last year, just saying I was so proud of him and congratulations. Then the finish (at WrestleMania 39) happened, and I was so mad.

I want what’s best for Cody. It’s no different with him. Cody texted me after my hour-long match against Max (MJF) and told me how much he loved it.

Coming up for Danielson in the month of April is a singles bout against Will Ospreay at AEW Dynasty. Before Ospreay gets to Danielson, he’ll be taking on Powerhouse Hobbs on the 4/3 Dynamite.
