Ezekiel Jackson to undergo hernia surgery

Jackson also shared a Cody Rhodes story.

From 2007-2015, Rycklon Stephens a.k.a. Ezekiel Jackson was an active pro wrestler. He spent majority of his career under the WWE banner and during his time there, he became ECW and Intercontinental Champion.

Jackson sat down with MuscleManMalcolm for a new interview and shared that he’s scheduled to undergo hernia surgery.

Back in November, I decided to compete again as a bodybuilder but, I had to pull out from that. I have surgery in a couple of months. Hernia. Something that I’ve babied way too long.

Speaking about his in-ring career, Jackson’s Intercontinental Title reign was ended by Cody Rhodes in 2011. Jackson remembers being backstage at SummerSlam with his daughter, who was a toddler at the time. She attempted to stab Rhodes with a plastic knife because he beat her father for the belt.

Rhodes saw Jackson’s daughter in 2023 at the age of 15 and before greeting her, he jokingly asked to see her hands to check for a plastic knife.

Funny story, quick story, I don’t think I’ve ever told this. Cody (Rhodes) beat me for the (Intercontinental) title in Sacramento on SmackDown. Backstage at SummerSlam, my daughter was two or three at the time, tried to stab him with a plastic knife (he laughed). So, he saw her last September. He looked at her, he was like, ‘Let me see your hands.’ She’s 15 now. ‘Hey, let me see your hands. Oh, okay, good. I can give you a hug now.’ Not gonna shank me. But yeah, so Cody’s on a tear. I’m excited for him. But again, it was there. It was there. All the stuff he’s done and he tried, it was just there but whether it was the machine or whether something just wasn’t clicking but again, he came back and he’s just (taken off). So, excited for him.

Jackson gave an in-depth interview about his career and POST Wrestling has a write-up of that conversation here at this link
