AEW Dynamite stayed flat from its previous week’s performance while airing against the NBA on Wednesday.

The April 4 episode from Worcester averaged 752,000 viewers and 309,000 (0.23) in the 18-49 demographic, per Wrestlenomics and Sports Media Watch.

The overall viewership was up by one percent and the core demo increased by three percent from last week. Last week’s episode of Dynamite registered the program’s lowest audience since April 2021 and smallest 18-49 audience since June 2020.

AEW still ranked third among cable programming this past Wednesday behind the two NBA games including the head-to-head match-up with the Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Boston Celtics.

The Thunder and Celtics averaged 1,166,000 viewers and 0.37 in the demo on ESPN.

Dynamite dropped thirty-seven percent in viewership in Canada by averaging 93,000 viewers and a decline of twenty-nine percent in the 25-54 demographic on TSN 2. It was Dynamite’s lowest audience in Canada since November 22, 2023, and did not rank among the top ten sports programs on Wednesday.

Wrestlenomics reports that the peak viewership quarter was the opening fifteen minutes with Adam Copeland’s address and the start of Will Ospreay vs. Powerhouse Hobbs with 933,000 viewers but dropped eighteen percent in the second quarter. The peak in 18-49 was from 9 – 9:15 p.m. ET for the ending of Daddy Ass vs. Jay White, a backstage segment with the Young Bucks, and Willow Nightingale’s promo at 332,000 viewers.
