He is awaiting the word from the doctor.

In June of 2023, Braun Strowman underwent neck fusion surgery on his C4 and C5 vertebrae. As he was doing a signing for Fanatics Live, Strowman stated that he got hurt on the May 1st episode of Monday Night Raw

He is awaiting clearance from his doctor so he can return to the ring. He also shared details of a CT scan he had done in January.

Really good, really good. Feeling good. Just waiting on that doctor to say ‘go’… We’re right there (in the home stretch). Could feel the tension in the air.

So May 1st, I got hurt. I had surgery June 1st so, I just had a CT scan back in January. The bones are very close to being fused up so, that feeling I got a metal plate and four screws in my neck now so, but, it ain’t gonna stop me.

Strowman was featured on the WrestleMania XL night one Kickoff show and was interviewed by Peter Rosenberg.

It was in September 2022 that Strowman returned to WWE after being released in the summer of 2021
