A new championship will join the WWE NXT brand soon.
As announced by general manager Ava on Saturday afternoon, an NXT Women’s North American Championship will soon be introduced to the brand.
The title will give the women’s roster a secondary belt to compete over alongside the NXT Women’s Championship.
A North American title for the men’s side of the NXT roster was introduced back in 2018, with Adam Cole becoming its first titleholder. It is currently held by Oba Femi, who defended it in a three-way this weekend at Stand & Deliver.
No details were provided about what NXT will do to find its first-ever women’s North American champ.
