With all the interferences, Takagi came out on top.
There were multiple talents involved in the NEVER Openweight Championship match at NJPW Sakura Genesis. The champion EVIL put the title on the line against Shingo Takagi.
There were multiple inferences from HOUSE OF TORTURE’s side and Los Ingobernables de Japon members made their way to the ring to even the odds.
Both Yoshinobu Kanemaru and Hiromu Takahashi had on referee shirts to help their respective stablemates. In the end, Red Shoes Unno made his way to the ring to take over as the original referee was taken out. Takagi had EVIL down after hitting his finisher and a new NEVER Openweight Champion was crowned.
After the match, BULLET CLUB War Dogs (Gabe Kidd & Clark Connors) ran in and took out Takagi, BUSHI and Takahashi. Kidd called the NEVER Title match an embarrassment. He put company President Hiroshi Tanahashi on notice and said f*ck New Japan.
Kidd then spit on the mat and said he’s going to take everything from the company and he’ll start with Shingo’s newly-won NEVER Title.
