With the help of an ongoing feud between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre, Jey Uso put himself next in line for a shot at the WWE World Heavyweight Championship on Monday night.

Uso overcame McIntyre, Bronson Reed, and Ricochet in a four-way #1 contender match to earn a shot against recently-crowned Damien Priest in the main event of Monday Night Raw this week.

McIntyre, a wrestler who was champion for just a few minutes at Wrestlemania, was chasing a new shot at the title. He dethroned Seth Rollins on Sunday but lost the title after being attacked by Punk and having a Money In The Bank briefcase from Priest cashed in against him.

Punk caused trouble for McIntyre once again on Monday night. As McIntyre was closing in on a win and was about to put away Uso with a Claymore Kick, Punk appeared from the crowd and grabbed his leg. This distraction allowed Uso to score a Superkick and spear to win the match.

The first opponent for Priest’s title run is now set, and the rivalry between Punk and McIntyre now has another development.
