Sami Zayn plans to pay some dues after earning the WWE Intercontinental Championship.
Zayn will give Chad Gable a title shot on next week’s Monday Night Raw, as revealed during tonight’s episode.
He is granting Gable the title opportunity due to his role in training him for a title fight against GUNTHER. Gable played a trainer role for Zayn in his underdog story, pushing him hard in training and trying to convince him that he is able to dethrone the then-long-time champ.
Zayn said in a backstage segment on Monday that Gabe has done more than enough to earn a shot through the help he provided him in the lead-up to Wrestlemania 40.
The next episode of Raw will take place in Zayn’s home province. The show will go down at the Bell Center in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It will be the promotion’s second TV appearance in Quebec since Zayn headlined the 2023 Elimination Chamber in a title fight against Roman Reigns.
It was also announced on this week’s episode of Raw that Judgement Day’s Dominik Mysterio will meet Andrade on the April 15 episode of Raw.
