AEW Collision posts two-month high for late night airing on TNT

AEW Collision aired late on Saturday following TNT’s NCAA basketball coverage, which led to its largest audience over the past two months.

The taped show from Worcester averaged 463,000 viewers and 204,000 (0.15) in the 18-49 demographic, per Wrestlenomics.

Collision shortly after 11:30 p.m. ET following TNT’s post-game coverage of the Alabama vs. UConn basketball with the post-show averaging 2.1 million viewers and 0.59 in the demo as its lead-in.

It was Collision’s best set of numbers since February 10 with the late airing allowing Collision to avoid running at the same time as the first night of WrestleMania 40.

This week’s viewership was up by one percent from last week while the 18-49 audience increased by thirty-six percent.

There was a sizable increase among the female audience for the late airing of Collision. Females in the 18-49 demo grew from 29,000 last week to 77,000, females 18-34 went from 16,000 to 23,000 and 35-49 saw a jump from 13,000 to 54,000.

The only notable demographic to lose viewers with the late airing was men 18-34, which decreased by eighteen percent with 41,000 viewers.

Collision was headlined by Penta El Zero Miedo defeating Komander and included FTR beating Top Flight to advance to the finals of the tag title tournament at Dynasty on April 21.

AEW will host a three-hour block on TNT this Saturday with a two-hour edition of Collision followed by Battle of the Belts X from 8-11 p.m. ET from Highland Heights, Kentucky.
