Mox was profiled ahead of the bout.

For the first time, Jon Moxley is going to be challenging Tetsuya Naito for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship. His opportunity comes at NJPW Windy City Riot on April 12th.

Going into the bout, New Japan Pro-Wrestling rolled out a video piece on their YouTube channel which takes a look at Moxley’s preparation ahead of the match. Renee Paquette, her and Moxley’s daughter along with Bryan Danielson are included in the video.

Moxley feels that even if he wins the belt, he’ll still be the most overlooked, disrespected and taken for granted wrestler in history.

Shots at the IWGP Championship don’t come around every day. Even if I win, it’s not going to matter. I’ll be the most overlooked, disrespected, forgotten about, taken for granted wrestler in the history of this business. It’s not gonna matter. But it means something to me.

If Moxley is to capture the title, he’ll be the eighth IWGP World Heavyweight Champion and the first person to hold the WWE, IWGP and AEW World Championships.
