Gabe and Eddie are not finished with each other.

The ongoing rivalry between Gabe Kidd and NJPW STRONG Openweight Champion Eddie Kingston continued at Windy City Riot. Both men led their respective teams into a four-on-four Riot Rules match. Their partners were not revealed until the entrances.

Joining Kidd was Clark Connors, KENTA and David Finlay and on Kingston’s side were Jeff Cobb, TJP and Homicide.

BULLET CLUB took the win as Kingston was held down and had to watch Gabe hit a piledriver on Homicide and get pinned. The two sides continued to brawl after the match was over.

Kingston then grabbed a microphone and called out Kidd for a No Ropes Last Man Standing match at NJPW Resurgence on May 11th. Lead commentator Walker Stewart stated that it’ll be for the STRONG Openweight Championship.

Here’s the updated match card for Resurgence:

  • NJPW STRONG Women’s Championship: Stephanie Vaquer (c) vs. Alex Windsor
  • NJPW STRONG Openweight Championship — No Ropes Last Man Standing Match: Eddie Kingston (c) vs. Gabe Kidd
