Shota Umino def. Jack Perry at NJPW Windy City Riot, dueling crowd chants of “You got choked out” & “No he didn’t”

A big reaction to Jack Perry.

This past week’s episode of AEW Dynamite featured footage of the backstage altercation between CM Punk and Jack Perry from AEW All In that led to Punk being fired and Perry being suspended from the company.

Perry had his first match in the U.S. since that incident and it took place in Chicago, Illinois at NJPW Windy City Riot against Shota Umino.

He made his entrance with security guards and was met with boos as well as ‘Scapegoat’ chants. During the match, there were dueling crowd chants of, “You got choked out” and, ‘No he didn’t”. After those chants, Perry put Umino in a guillotine choke. There were also ‘cry me a river’ chants.

Perry did Punk’s signature knee into the corner on Umino. He then went for a G.T.S., but Umino reversed it into a DDT. Umino went on to score the win and after their match, Perry offered a handshake to Umino which was accepted and then raised his hand. Before leaving the ring, Perry gave a middle finger to the crowd in Chicago.
