The first match announcement for Resurgence.
The first championship match of the night at NJPW Windy City Riot was Stephanie Vaquer defending the STRONG Women’s Championship against STARDOM’s AZM.
In the end, it was Vaquer retaining her title in what was her first defense since winning the belt from Giulia in March.
Post-match, Vaquer was approached by Alex Windsor, who was on the winning end of a tag match on the Windy City Riot Kickoff show. She went on to call out Vaquer for a title match at NJPW Resurgence on May 11th. In response to the challenge, Vaquer simply said okay.
Resurgence is emanating from the Toyota Arena in Ontario, California.
