Tony Khan is interested in bringing Nikki Garcia into AEW.

Garcia, who wrestled as Nikki Bella as one-half of ex-WWE duo The Bella Twins, recently expressed interest in joining AEW. On her podcast, “The Nikki and Brie Show,” she said that watching Mercedes Moné’s debut on Dynamite inspired her to possibly contact the promotion and ask about working for them in the future.

While she felt briefly determined to reach out to AEW, Garcia eventually decided that she needed to instead prioritize time with her son at the moment. “There is a lot that goes into it and that takes all the time away from my son,” she said, describing the work-life balance of a wrestler. “He needs me the most right now.”

Even though Garcia might not be thinking about doing AEW for now, Khan has left the door open for her to work with them in the future. He talked about Garcia’s comments during a recent appearance on the Battleground Podcast, mentioning it was “so great to hear” her enthusiasm, and that it “means the world.”

“If Nikki Garcia ever wanted to come into AEW I would be very interested in that,” Khan said. “I think the world of her. I have so much respect for Nicole and Brie. They’re like family to us because Bryan [Danielson] is a part of my family, and that makes Brie and Nicole part of my family. If Nikki was interested in coming to AEW, we’d love to have her here any time.”

Garcia joined the WWE roster back in 2007 alongside sister Brie. They were a key part of the promotion’s women’s division for years, earning the top belt twice from 2012 to 2015. She stopped appearing frequently after 2018, with her sole in-ring match since then being a Royal Rumble spot in 2022. The twins announced the end of their WWE run last year.
