SHO retained the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship in the main event of Wrestling Satsuma no Kuni.
Monday’s event from Kagoshima in front of 1,780 fans saw DOUKI challenge SHO for the championship but lost the match after involvement by House of Torture members.
EVIL, Yujiro, and Dick Togo got involved in the match when members of Just Five Guys ran out to clear the ring. When DOUKI managed to secure the Italian Stretch #32, the bell ran, but it was revealed that Togo was the one ringing it.
With the referee knocked out on the floor, Yoshinobu Kanemaru entered the ring with a whiskey bottle but was stopped by DOUKI.
Then, Ren Narita entered and struck DOUKI with the push-up bar and hit the Double Cross, thus, allowing SHO to be placed on top of the fallen challenger as the referee was sent into the ring to count three.
The IWGP Jr. Heavyweight tags titles were retained by Clark Connors & Drilla Moloney with a win against Hiromu Takahashi & BUSHI on Monday.
After Moloney hit the Drilla Killa on BUSHI, Takahashi made the save for his team and was hit by a No Chaser Brainbuster from Connors. The champions took BUSHI and delivered the Full Clip to retain the championships.
All six junior heavyweights in the top two matches of Monday’s show will be represented in the Best of the Super Juniors tournament, which begins May 11.
