NXT Spring Breakin’ notes: Chelsea Green challenging for Women’s Title, Wes Lee in action, Nattie vs. Lola Vice

There was a point during the show when NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez accused General Manager Ava of being the reason why she was not moved to Raw or SmackDown in the 2024 WWE Draft. Perez, like all champions in the Draft, were protected from being selected. Ava wanted to speak to Perez about the next challenger to her title but Perez was not interested, so Ava looked into her office and told the individual inside that they’ll have to break the news to Roxanne at another time. At the end of Spring Breakin’, it was revealed that Chelsea Green will be challenging Perez for the title on 5/7.

After being sidelined due to undergoing back surgery, Wes Lee made his return to NXT and approached North American Champion Oba Femi. Lee will be back in action on 5/7 against Josh Briggs.

Closing out the program was the NXT Underground match between Natalya and Lola Vice. Vice won via referee stoppage. Shayna Baszler, who cornered Vice, had Natalya’s cornerwoman Karmen Petrovic in the Kirifuda Clutch. Natalya left the ring to help Petrovic and when she got back in, Vice connected with a spinning backfist and began to let off a series of punches and forearms on Natalya.

The opening segment of the night featured newly crowned NXT Champion Trick Williams and Lash Legend. She had an envelope with her and the crowd began to chant, ‘He’s the daddy’. Williams and Legend are in a relationship off-screen. Lash told Williams to enjoy his reign while it lasts because it’s going to come crashing down. Williams is guest appearing on Supernova Sessions with Meta-Four (Noam Dar, Lash Legend, Jakara Jackson & Oro Mensah) on 5/7.

Prior to Nathan Frazer and Axiom’s NXT Tag Title defense, they were greeted by The Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins) who showed support for them. Frazer and Axiom were able to retain over A.O.P. (Akam & Rezar) due to New Catch Republic (Tyler Bate & Pete Dunne) assisting them. New Catch Republic and A.O.P. were drafted to Monday Night Raw in the 2024 Draft

In Tyriek Igwe and Tyson Dupont’s NXT TV debuts, they were bested by Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson.

Ridge Holland and Shawn Spears went one-on-one and Holland emerged victorious.
