Former TNT Champion Powerhouse Hobbs might be out of action for some time.

Hobbs suffered an injury on last week’s episode of AEW Dynamite and will require surgery, per a post from Fightful Select. While the specifics of the injury were not revealed, the report described the setback as “significant.”

The injury that Hobbs suffered reportedly emerged during his match against Jon Moxley in Jacksonville, Florida last week. The IWGP World Heavyweight Championship bout, which only went 10 minutes, was cut short. Many watching the match realized in real time that Hobbs might have hurt himself and was working through a legitimate injury.

It’s unclear how long Hobbs could be out of action. He has been a frequent part of AEW programming in recent months, appearing as part of the Don Callis Family faction. He competed as part of AEW’s tag team tournament last month, getting eliminated in the first round by Orange Cassidy and Trent Beretta.
