Tanga Loa made a surprise debut for WWE at Backlash, helping the Bloodline’s Solo Sikoa & Tama Tonga to a win over Randy Orton & Kevin Owens.
The match began in chaos with a brawl between the four competitors that needed to be broken up by security. SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis then came out to officially make the match a street fight.
Once the bell rang, most of the early going took place in the crowd and at ringside, with Orton & Owens dominating.
With Orton isolated, the heels took control, pounding Owens with shots from kendo sticks and trash cans. Owens managed to reverse a charging Sikoa through a table in the corner of the ring.
Orton soon returned to the action to take care of Tama Tonga but an RKO was not enough as the count was broken up by Sikoa.
Owens set up four chairs in the ring and after a tussle for control, he managed to deliver a Brainbuster to Tama for the near-certain win.
At this point, Tama Tonga’s brother Tanga Loa appeared and took out the babyfaces, allowing Sikoa to deliver the Samoan Spike on Owens for the win.
