Stepping up is Asuka’s Damage CTRL stablemate.
The King and Queen of the Ring tournaments kicked off on the 5/6 Monday Night Raw. IYO SKY clashed with Natalya and picked up a win to advance out of the first round.
In SKY’s corner were her Damage CTRL stablemates, Dakota Kai and Kairi Sane. Dakota grabbed a microphone and shared that Asuka is sidelined with an injury and as a result, she’ll be filling in for her in a Queen of the Ring tournament match against Lyra Valkyria.
Asuka and Kairi lost the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships to Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair at Backlash.
Kai mentioned Cargill, Belair and Women’s World Champion Becky Lynch in her promo.
