A look back at Rampage Jackson’s 2010 WWE Raw appearance.

In June of 2010, The A-Team hit theaters across the U.S.A. and it was a film based on the 1980s television series. Among those in the 2010 film were Bradley Cooper, Sharlto Copley and former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson.

All three appeared on an episode of Monday Night Raw days prior to the movie release. Jackson and Copley got to share the ring with the likes of Mike Rotunda, Dusty Rhodes, Michael Jones (Virgil) and ‘Mean’ Gene Okerlund.

During the segment, Rampage gave a chokeslam to Virgil and he looked back on that during his JAXXON PODCAST. He shared that Paul Wight (Big Show) was upset with him for using the chokeslam. Rampage added that he was not given the green-light to do a powerbomb.

When I promoted A-Team, we did something at WWE, me and (Howling Mad) Murdock. Shout out to the actor that played Murdock (Sharlto Copley). They had us in the ring and The Big Show was there and he got mad because I did his chokeslam. He got mad and he was like, ‘Why’d you have to use my move?’ I’m like, ‘Nobody would let me powerbomb him.’ They wouldn’t let me do my move because I’m known for the powerbomb. I didn’t understand that.

This past February, Virgil passed away. POST Wrestling’s John Pollock published an obit about him that can be read here
