A comment from Lawler regarding his WWE status.

Per Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler’s time with WWE as an on-air personality/broadcaster came to an end. The company declined a renewal of his deal. However, he is still under a Legends contract.

Lawler was interviewed by Mike Johnson and said his career has probably ended with WWE.

One other thing that a lot of people wonder about, my career has probably ended with the WWE and it’s just one of those things that goes with my getting over with all the stuff that happened with the stroke and it was — my just sitting behind a desk and doing it, commentating on a match again was extremely difficult.

Over the weekend, Lawler stated that he is feeling great a year removed from his stroke. He added that he’s dealing with minor difficulties from the health scare.
