WWE’s domestic television rights for Raw will stay with the USA Network through the end of the year.
In TKO’s first-quarter earnings report, the company noted they struck a short-term extension with the USA Network to keep the Monday night flagship on the network for the fourth quarter of 2024.
WWE entered into a long-term media rights agreement with Netflix for Raw beginning in January 2025; subsequently, WWE entered into a $25 million domestic media rights agreement with NBCUniversal for Raw to remain on USA Network for the fourth quarter of 2024.
The deal between WWE and NBC Universal for Raw’s domestic rights was set to expire on September 30, 2024, leaving Raw without a home until its launch on Netflix on January 1, 2025.
The average annual value of the existing deal for the Raw rights is approximately $265 million as USA Network is paying substantially less for the three months.
WWE and NBC Universal will remain partners as Friday Night SmackDown will move to the USA Network this October after a five-year run on the Fox platform.
NBC Universal’s Peacock subscription service licenses the WWE Network’s domestic rights and is the streaming platform for WWE’s monthly premium live events.
Raw launched on the USA Network in January 1993 and has largely aired uninterrupted throughout its duration except for a five-year gap from 2000 to 2005 when it moved to The National Network (TNN) / Spike TV.
