AEW Dynamite ranked sixth among cable originals on Wednesday while maintaining the same level of viewership from the previous week.

The May 8 edition from Edmonton averaged 711,000 viewers and 320,000 (0.24) in the 18-49 demographic with data from Wrestlenomics & PW Torch.

The audience figures were nearly identical to last week’s average of 703,000 viewers and 317,000 in the 18-49 demographic. However, this remains on the low side of Dynamite’s viewership trends and ranks as its third-lowest audience of the year behind the previous two episodes.

The show ranked sixth on cable on Wednesday and aired against the Indiana Pacers vs. New York Knicks (4,338,000 viewers and 1.48 rating in the demo) and the Boston Bruins vs. Florida Panthers (1,822,000 and 0.54).

Dynamite grew among women in the 18-49 demographic from 100,000 viewers last week to an average of 112,000 this week.

Adults 18-34 fell from 104,000 to 95,000 viewers.

In Canada, the show ranked ninth among sports programs with 110,100 viewers and 50,100 in the 25-54 demographic on TSN 2. It aired against Game 2 of the Bruins vs. Panthers series, which averaged 946,800 viewers but avoided the gigantic game between the Canucks and Oilers, which didn’t begin until 10:20 p.m. ET.

The show included a No Disqualification match between Adam Copeland and Brody King for the TNT Championship and Kenny Omega’s announcement of an Anarchy in the Arena match at Double or Nothing.
