Two executives are out from WWE.
According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Michael Levin finished up a seven-year tenure with WWE as Vice President of International Events and General Manager of Emerging Markets. The site notes that he exited the company at some point over the past several days.
He worked out WWE’s offices in London. His position was phased out due to the grouping of departments in UFC and WWE with TKO Group Holdings now being in place.
Per the report, Levin was in attendance at WWE Backlash in Lyon, France. He wrote about the event on his LinkedIn page:
Amazing weekend in Lyon for the first ever WWE Live TV and Premium Live Events in France. The crowd was unlike anything I’ve ever seen..
Multiple records shattered:
– Highest Grossing Friday Night Smackdown in Company History
– Highest Grossing Arena Event in Company History
– Highest Grossing Event in Company History in FranceCouldn’t have done it without our incredible partner David Rothschild and team, and the face of WWE in France Philippe Chereau and Christophe Agius who have helped build this rabid fanbase over the years. And thanks to the team at LDLC Arena for hosting in their beautiful new arena. Merci Beaucoup.
We’ll be back.
During the summer of 2020, Levin was promoted to the V.P. of International Events and G.M. of Emerging Markets roles.
Fightful Select learned that Steve Rubin is gone from WWE as well. Rubin was the company’s Senior Director of TV Event Relations. He was employed there for 26 years and started out as a production assistant. The site also corroborated PWInsider’s story about Levin being out of WWE.
