An update from Asuka herself.
It was at the WWE Backlash Premium Live Event in Lyon, France that Asuka and Kairi Sane’s reign as WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions came to an end via Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill.
Asuka has been absent from television since then and she took to her YouTube channel to provide an update. She noted in the video description that she is taking time off to treat a knee injury.
In the video, she credited her Damage CTRL stablemates Dakota Kai and Kairi Sane for helping her through WWE’s European tour as she was not at her best.
Damage CTRL was moved to Monday Night Raw as a part of the 2024 WWE Draft. Damage CTRL’s IYO SKY is facing Zoey Stark in a semifinal round of the Queen of the Ring tournament.
