A candid response from Dennis Miller.

After five years of WWE NXT airing on USA Network, the brand is going to be moving to The CW starting in October 2024

The CW’s President, Dennis Miller, spoke to Variety and admitted that Monday Night Raw and Friday Night SmackDown were ‘a little beyond’ The CW’s budget. He said the NXT deal was locked in after a couple months months of conversations.

We knew that Raw and SmackDown were a little bit beyond our budget here. Then if you look, we have a lot of sports where we have kind of that next tier moving into the first tier here, whether it’s the Xfinity races leading into the Cup, or it’s NXT leading into Raw and SmackDown. So it just started to fit. Then over the course of a couple of months, we went back and forth and got the deal done.

CW rolled out their 2024 fall schedule and confirmed that NXT will remain on Tuesdays at the 8 PM-10 PM EST slot.
