Takeshita carried the emotions he felt into his performance at All Together.

The May 1st edition of AEW Rampage emanated from the Canada Life Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. The advertised lineup for the show consisted of the following bouts:

  • Jay White vs. Dante Martin
  • Rocky Romero vs. Kyle O’Reilly
  • Konosuke Takeshita vs. London Lightning
  • TBS Championship — Manitoba Massacre: Willow Nightingale (c) vs. Skye Blue

The match between Takeshita and Lightning did not take place. Takeshita addressed that via a column that DDT Pro-Wrestling published. He said he was preparing to make his entrance when he was told about the time cut. He added that he carried the emotions he felt into his performance at UJPW’s All Together event

Its been a few weeks since I got to be on-air and due to (the nature of) the live broadcast, my match was cut. I was already waiting at the entrance gate with my gown on when I was told so, I carried all those frustrating emotions of that moment into that one match in Budokan. There was that feeling that I didn’t want to lose to them either.

Takeshita is returning to DDT on 5/19 for a singles match against Minoru Suzuki.

He was featured on the 5/15 Dynamite when he appeared after the opening tag match and targeted IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Jon Moxley.
